Clinical Team Lead Family Education and Support Clinician

Summary:
At Community Alliance, we believe in the potential of recovery for all individuals with a mental illness, and we dedicate our resources to support the journey of each individual we serve. 

We are seeking a licensed mental health practitioner (LMHP, LIMHP, PLMHP) to fill the dual role of Clinical Team Lead/Family Education Clinician for our first episode psychosis program "Navigate to Success”. This dual role is responsible for managing the Navigate to Success Program, a Coordinated Specialty Care model treating individuals aged 14-35 who have recently experienced an initial psychotic episode. The Team Lead monitors program service delivery as well as fidelity to the treatment model while providing clinical supervision. Additional duties include community outreach, assessment for enrollment, and monitoring and quality improvement while also serving as the primary point of contact for the program. The Family Education Clinician role utilizes shared decision making with clients and/or families to provide education about psychosis, improve communication and problem-solving skills, and encourage a strengths-based recovery-oriented approach to psychosis.


 


Duties Include:
  • Supervision of the Individual Resiliency Training (IRT) clinician (therapist), the Supported Employment and Education (SEE) Specialist who also serves as the Care Coordinator, and the Peer Support Specialist.
  • Monitor adherence to service model fidelity utilizing proprietary manuals and materials.

  • Lead weekly team meetings and collaborate patient progress and treatment strategies.
  •  

  • Develop and maintain relationships with community referral sources through regular contact and presentations.
  • Coordination, collaboration and clinical decision consultation with the FEP Psychiatrist.
  • Coordinate appropriateness of referral for program participation with team and referral sources
  • Engage and orient clients and family members in program.
  • Review program performance with Integrated Health Clinic Manager.
  • Lead collaborative treatment planning & review meetings with client/relatives, initially and then every 3 months.

  • Collect, track, and report data for quality indicators and report to state and regional oversight
  • Evaluate staff performance, including direct observation, and collaborate with other supervisors on performance evaluations.

  • Conduct family assessments and deliver family education with participants and/or family members.
  • Conduct diagnostic & symptom assessments as needed.
  • Responsible for modeling principles of Mission, Vision, and Values to the agency.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, or another related field
  • Current licensure in good standing in the State of Nebraska as a mental health professional (LMHP, LIMHP); provisional licensure (PLMHP) is acceptable if actively working and making sustained progress toward achieving full licensure
  • At least one year of supervisory experience
  • Knowledge, training, and/or experience in effectively working with youth and young adults experiencing psychosis as well as substance use disorders
  • Demonstrated clinical decision-making skills appropriate for client’s care and safety.
  • Demonstrated ability in utilizing motivational interviewing and principles of recovery to deliver results-oriented, trauma-informed, and person-centered care.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to connect, communicate, and effectively work with people from diverse cultural, ethnic, socio-economic, educational, and professional backgrounds, and ability to maintain effective working relationships with diverse individuals and groups.

Preferred qualifications:

  • At least two years of clinical supervision, therapy and/or case management experience with youth/young adults
