Behavioral Health Therapist position open in our Reentry Program 

Community Alliance is seeking a licensed mental health clinician to be a part of a multi-disciplinary reentry team to assist individuals experiencing mental illness and/or substance use disorders who are reentering the community after a period of incarceration. This team helps navigate the individual’s return to the community by increasing positive supports and reducing or removing barriers related to their successful reintegration. For individuals who are experiencing mental health and/or substance use difficulties, reintegration can be complex. The team consists of care coordinator, employment specialist and a peer support specialist.

 

 


Duties Include:

 

Duties for Behavioral Health Therapist position in our Reentry Program:

For applicants interested in the Reentry Program past experience facilitating reintegration VLS groups.


Minimum Qualifications:

Qualifications for Behavioral Health Therapist for  Reentry Program 

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, or other related field.
  • Current licensure in good standing in the State of Nebraska as a mental health professional (LMHP, LIMHP); provisional licensure (PLMHP) is acceptable if actively working and making sustained progress toward achieving full licensure.
  •  
  • Knowledge of signs and symptoms of mental disorders.
  • Knowledge, training, and/or experience in effectively working with individuals with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, and co-morbid physical conditions.
  • Demonstrated clinical decision-making skills appropriate for client’s care and safety.
  • Demonstrated ability in utilizing motivational interviewing and principles of recovery to deliver results-oriented, trauma-informed, and person-centered care.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to connect, communicate, and effectively work with people from diverse cultural, ethnic, socio-economic, educational, and professional backgrounds, and ability to maintain effective working relationships with diverse individuals and groups.
